Perhaps the greatest strength of a designer’s character is patience with non-designers. Elina’s patience is commendable; she spends the time with her clients to create a solid design spec, tease out the details of what they want, and contributes the right amount of guidance and design expertise without being pushy or confusing. Essentially, she helps me feel like I came up with a great design, when in truth it was her all along.

Also, her designs rock, but since that’s not my area of expertise, I’d like to put in a big word for her stealth project management, serious commitment to project finalization, and of course, her good nature.

Words I would use to describe Elina: talented, highly-organized, professional, diplomatic, deadline driven, focused, dedicated, exceptional, rare.
I was lucky enough to have Elina as a colleague at Berkeley Electronic Press where she impressed me with her ability to manage multiple projects at once while applying the same level of attention and creativity to each. She was always able to balance the expectations and desires of our outside clients against the design standards and requirements of our organization. Her project management skills are outstanding.

Elina is an amazing colleague and I am so grateful for the opportunity I had to work with her. She is highly organized and thorough and thinks of all important angles when taking on projects and tasks (including, but not limited to, time-lines and due-dates, marketing opportunities, requirements, goals, potential roadblocks, and implementation strategies). She has an amazing design sense and I am continuously impressed by the things she comes up with. She also has an incredible talent for organization and product management and her documentation is accurate and detailed.
